    Sattal is a world renowned paradise for the Bird watchers across the world. Green Glen lodge has featured amongst the best ten lodges for birding by ‘OUTLOOK’ magazine. Over 350 species of birds have been recorded near Green Glen.

  • Activities in the Property

    We do not have TVs in the rooms to encourage guests to spend quality time with each other with our best friend NATURE in a serene beautiful ambience. Table Tennis, badminton, Scrabble, Chess, Carom etc, Mini Library, Hammocking or just lazing around in the sun or star gazing has its own bliss. Evening camp fire / candle light sit out in the outdoor garden while screening of a documentary on wild life / culture etc (conditions apply) or just watching a movie with drinks and snacks is rarely found in other properties. Groups also like to play Tambola / Dance.

    Adventure Activities

    Adventurous guests can opt for Paragliding, Rappelling, Rock Climbing, river crossing and canoeing. Fishing with lake side picnic to the peaceful emerald lake too is very enchanting.

  • Nature Walks and Treks

    There is a path from the property which leads to a small stream flowing in the valley. There is also a nice walk / trek to Garundtallake and Sattal lake. Guests looking to go for longer treks can also explore the waterfall which is a 1 K.m trek from Sattal Lake.

    Visit to a Tea Estate

    You can also plan a visit to a Tea Estate which is a 25 mins drive from Green Glen and explore the tea garden while doing some shopping for various varieties of Tea.

  • Wild Life

    The countryside jungles and the greenery is home to barking deers, rabbits & Ghuran etc. It may not be surprising to spot a deer grazing in the big lawn in front of your room at night.

    Spirituality

    There are quite a few temples in a driving time of 30 to 45 minutes. Kaichi temple is one such temple which has an ashram and is famous because of Steve Jobs who had spent time in the ashram. Ghorakhal temple is a also a famous temple which guests like to visit
